1. Where our information comes from

SaltLakeCityInCourt is an independent website. We do not create court, arrest, warrant, or police records. We gather information that official government sources have already made available to the public, and we reorganize it to make it easier to find and understand. Our Court Data Acquisition Policy explains how we obtain it.

For Salt Lake City, current public sources include:

• Court cases: Weekly district court case filings (Utah State Courts)
• Judges: Third District judges + Salt Lake City Justice Court judges (Utah State Courts; Salt Lake City)
• Jail bookings: Daily jail booking docket (last 7 days) (Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office)
• Crime incidents: SLCPD public crime map (incidents at intersections) (Salt Lake City Police Department) — covers January – June 2026 (the city last refreshed this layer on July 14, 2026)

Where we have not yet connected an official source, pages show clearly labeled “Sample data”. Sample records are fictional placeholders that demonstrate how the site works; they are not real people or cases.

The official record is always the one kept by the court: Utah Courts — MyCase / Xchange case search.

2. Not an official record — accuracy is not guaranteed

Public records are often incomplete, delayed, or contain errors, and mistakes can happen when records are copied, matched, or summarized. Names can be shared by different people. Information may have changed since it was collected. SaltLakeCityInCourt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any court, clerk, sheriff, police department, or other government agency.

3. Always check with the appropriate human authority

Before you act on anything you read here, confirm it with the right person or office — for example, the court clerk or the judge's office for case details and court dates; a licensed lawyer for legal questions; the relevant law-enforcement agency for warrants or arrests; and a physician or other qualified professional for anything involving health. Never miss a court date or ignore a court order because of something shown on this site.

4. AI-generated content can be wrong

Some features use artificial intelligence, including the question-and-answer assistant, outcome estimates, and plain-language summaries. AI systems are not perfect: they can misunderstand a question, leave out important facts, or state something incorrect with confidence. Outcome estimates describe patterns in past cases; they are not predictions or promises about any individual case. Treat AI output as a starting point for a conversation with a professional, never as the final word.

5. Not legal, medical, or professional advice

Everything on SaltLakeCityInCourt is general information only. It is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice, and using the site does not create an attorney–client or any other professional relationship. Laws and procedures differ by state and change over time. For advice about your situation, talk to a licensed professional.

6. No health or wellness information

We do not publish information about anyone's physical or mental health, treatment, or disability — for example mental-health holds or commitments, competency findings, or participation in drug or treatment courts — even when a public source includes it. Records like these are filtered out before they reach the site.

7. State laws and restricted records

Each state has its own rules about which court and law-enforcement records may be published, by whom, and how. We follow the rules of the state where the record originates. Among other things, we do not publish:

• juvenile records;
• records that have been sealed or expunged, or that are subject to an order of nondisclosure;
• the identity of people who petition for protective orders, or of crime victims;
• map locations of sex offenses, or of domestic, child-victim, or elder-victim incidents, which could reveal where a victim lives;
• booking photographs (mugshots), dates of birth, or home addresses;
• data from any source whose terms of use or site rules forbid automated collection.

When we learn that a record has been expunged, sealed, or ordered removed, we take it down and keep it from reappearing. We never charge anyone to remove or correct a record.

8. Not a consumer reporting agency

SaltLakeCityInCourt is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the information here is not a consumer report. You may not use it to decide whether someone is eligible for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA or similar state laws. Professional search tools on this site are provided only for lawful purposes that do not require a consumer report.

9. Presumption of innocence

An arrest, booking, charge, or warrant is an accusation or a step in a legal process — not a finding of guilt. Everyone is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Cases are often dismissed, reduced, or resolved in the person's favor.

10. Corrections and removal requests

If you believe a record here is wrong, belongs to someone else, or has been expunged, sealed, or ordered removed, please tell us and include the court order or case number if you have one. Email admin@drcpwagnerventures.com. Corrections to the official record must be made with the court or agency that keeps it.

11. No warranty; limitation of liability

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SaltLakeCityInCourt and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its content. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Advertising and links

Ads and sponsored listings (including attorney listings) are paid placements, marked as such, and are not endorsements or referrals. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
